The Canadian Union of Labour Employees (CULE) stand in full solidarity with our sisters and brothers in CUPW, who are facing attacks and concessions from an employer bent on watering down long-standing gains of postal workers. CUPW have embarked on rotating strikes that were designed to put pressure on the corporation, without imposing undue hardship on the public. This has all changed now that Canada Post has locked-out its workers.
CUPW is not only facing Canada Post but also a federal government that is all too eager to attack public sector workers and our collective bargaining gains. Workers across the country should stand up and support CUPW now, as their fight is also ours.
In the true spirit of solidarity, CULE members across the country are highly encouraged to support CUPW picket lines. We are also well placed to work with PSAC members to encourage their support for CUPW.
