“In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity”

~Albert Einstein

I am the first Racially Visible Regional Representative for the PSAC, and have been on the forefront of many battles to ensure and implement equity within the staff of the Alliance.

I was also the first CULE Racially Visible Representative on the Joint Employment Equity Committee and again was instrumental in establishing equity designated position. I initiated and put forward the proposal that led to the first Workers of Colour Conference where Aboriginal workers and workers of colour then had the opportunity to express and voice concerns.

I bring with me a corporate history which gives me a unique perspective to handle the future concerns of the CULE equity members.

We now have an effective number of workers of colour to address issues of racism with vigor, and I am confident that together we will make a difference. We have many voices to be heard within the umbrella of equality – Aboriginals, People with Disabilities, Lesbian, Gay, Bi~Sexual, Transgender/Transexual brothers and sisters, that can no longer wait on the sidelines, they need to be heard.

As your representative I would effectively voice to your concerns.

“We don’t accomplishment anything in this world alone, and whatever happens is a result of the whole tapestry of one’s life and all the weavings of individual threads from one to another that creates something”

~Jane Addams
